The subject of the return of nineties fashion for me is a touchy one, as I once explained in this post. And in all honesty, not even in my wildest dreams could I imagine myself buying something that is so openly a nineties throwback piece as these booties. But it was a love at first try, and now they are a happy addition to my black shoes collection.

It isn't a common opportunity that the fashion industry favors a trend that has comfort as it's main characteristic. So, it would be a waste for us, the comfort lovers. not to embrace it with open arms. The combinations are endless, but I find the toned-down look of the classic Nike running shoes most appealing, as it allows the rest of the outfit to be dominant.

'Do you have a big textured scarf we can use?' asks Erina, and boy do I have! Nature was kind and gave us the perfect frozen lake scenery to match the wintery outfit. There is a plan to make a Four Seasons collaboration, but it's a secret and you didn't hear it from me.

Time for some trivia: #DidYouKnow that the original idea for the name of my blog came from two completely separate things, first is the fact that at the time of the creation of the blog I was taking anatomy classes, and the second my inability to wear only one layer of clothes at a time (it came to be a mixture of how cold I always am and that I find layering utterly fun). So the plan was to make posts where I would dissect my layered outfits to show each piece and how it creates the whole look. The subject was briefly approached in this post, which I had loads of fun doing, so I decided to give it another try.

Winter layer cake ~ the recipe
Ingredients:
1x plain blouse
1x denim shirt
1x wool cardigan
various decorations
Instructions:
add the layers one at a time
decorate as desired 

The imminent question always is: do accessories count as a layer? Since for me they are the unavoidable sprinkle on the cake, I would say yes, but oddly enough, it's the part I think about the least. Jewelry somehow always finds itself on me without my active participation. 

And voila! The recipe on how to stay stylish and warm is complete.

But if we take away the nerdy old school, there are two very distinct ways to wear a gold watch: the first is the rap singer chain blinger swag way, and the other is the Ivy League feminine sophistication, which I find and adore in the no bling models of Michael Kors.
Or in fact a gold watch is so bad that it's good.

May it be a happy one and may we make it a good one. 

Well. In all honesty, making a post with the subject being solely the celebration of New Year's Eve must be at the bottom of the list of things I thought I'd be doing. To say that I despise it is an understatement, but not the celebration itself as much as the social pressure of doing something, and most of all, the apocalyptic behavior and zombie-like shopping.
Specifically speaking of holiday shopping, it is inevitable to notice the never changing trend of every brand possible to produce that most irritating New Year's collection which never ever fails to be black and sparkle (помешај ове ночи црну и златну по нашки). Basically, the fashion industry is telling you that your creative freedom is down to choosing the amount of sparkle on your black, and after some very profound musing over this (sarcasm), I offered myself these options:

  

dress: Zara, jewelry: everywhere

Option 1: Go with all black, and throw all your jewelry on it. It's mainly what I do on a regular day, but since NY has to be 'the craziest night', show people just how crazy you can be.

top: Suite Blanco

Option 2: Do what everybody else does. Pick a piece that already has all the sparkles in the world sown on, and don't worry 'bout a thing.

As a loyal fan of the Wayfarer, I found it rather strange that lately I am being drawn more towards the Clubmaster, which is probably due to some feminine side I am developing. Modernly known as hipster glasses, to me they are the epitome of class, and therefore a must-have for this spring.
