movie . night . MIDNIGHT . IN . PARIS .

 ♪ Jazz Radio

I can't say I'm a huge fan of movies. I watch a few shows from time to time, but I have neither seen all the significant classics, nor do I keep up with the new ones. It takes a special star alignment and cosmic energy for me to sit and properly watch a whole movie.

Now this one, this one swept me off my feet! Yes, Woody Allen did a great job, interesting plot, perfect cast, but it stung me just in the right place with the whole 1920s thing. The first time Gil found himself at the 20s party, I literally paused the movie and said out loud "You have got to be kidding me!".
The flood of characters is at times overwhelming (there's a dozen legendary artists around every street corner), but the story is executed so wonderfully that it's really just a playful romp through the popular fantasy of "what famous person would you like to have dinner with?" Marion is stunning, no doubt about that. Hemingway is just to die for. And the Fitzgeralds are probably the best characters, so vivid and captivating.

All in all, I want to get stuck in the 20s.

I absolutely loved this movie! It's not the kind of movie you will perfectly understand if you don't know some history, I guess that's what makes it unique :)

I generally can't stand the lead actor in this film but I loved it anyways! The costumes and the sets, particularly the houses they were in, were beautiful!

How could I forget to mention that, in my opinion, Owen Wilson was the only wrong part of the cast?! Glad you agree :)
